For Monroe County residents, MCCC’s in-district tuition rate is about one-third that of most four year public colleges and universities. In addition, more than half of MCCC students receive some form of financial aid, and nearly half a million dollars in scholarships are available annually.

MCCC strives to make higher education accessible to anyone pursuing a dream. We offer an abundance of online course sections, as well as plenty of blended courses that combine online learning with limited on-campus meetings. A number of programs can be completed totally or partially online. And, with two convenient physical locations, MCCC is within easy reach for students throughout Southeast Michigan and Northwest Ohio.

5-year Maintenance & Improvement Millage: Project Information and Updates

In November 2016, Monroe County voters approved an additional .85 mill property tax levy for Monroe County Community College for a period of 5 years.

When taking classes at MCCC, our students use Brightspace software. It’s an easy-to-use, flexible tool that you can use when and where it is best for you. It can be accessed from any device that has an Internet connection.

MCCC Art Collection


The vast MCCC Art Collection has grown mostly through donations by our visiting artists and become the largest collection of any college in Michigan outside universities with museums,” according to state auditors who visited back in the early 2000s.

Each academic year, Monroe County Community College hosts its Entertainment and Events Series, which consists of a broad range of comedic, musical and theatrical performances, visiting artists and other community events sure to quench the entertainment and cultural thirsts of the region.
